Experience: Mr. Humphreys is in his 24th year of teaching middle school music, and is in his 22nd year teaching in the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District.
Bio: Randy Humphreys Music Educator
Graduate of San Francisco State University 1991, received two teaching credentials in 1992: a single subject (K-12) in Music Education and a Multiple Subject (K-12) authorization with an emphasis in Middle Level Education. Mr. Humphreys taught music in the San Francisco Unified School District for two years before coming to teach music here in Truckee in 1995. Mr. Humphreys has been at ACMS since its first day of operation. Mr. Humphreys performs music locally with various musical ensembles. Mr. Humphreys was a member of the Truckee Alliance for the Musical Arts (TAMA). Mr. Humphreys currently plays in TMCC Band and the Reno Wind Symphony of UNR. Mr. Humphreys earned Master in Music with emphasis in Clarinet Performance at UNR in the Spring of 2015. Mr. Humphreys received the California Music Educator Association's -Northern Section - Award for Outstanding Music Educator for 2013-2014 at the California All-state Music Educator's Conference. He enjoys skiing, cycling, hiking, and hanging out with his wife and his chocolate Labrador.
